Kidrobot x Skullcandy Headphones – Cans to Sink your Cute Little Fangs Into

Kidrobot x Skullcandy Headphones – Cans to Sink your Cute Little Fangs Into

We aren’t really shy about it: We have not been the biggest fans of Skullcandy headphones. Sure they’re great if you’re into the whole pre-teen angst and shiny exterior thing. Then again, it could be we’re just too curmudgeonly when it comes to audiophile quality to appreciate the overall effect the brand offers. Either way, we’re still pretty impressed by the latest offerings from the company. Skullcandy and their collaborative partner Kidrobot recently broke out a new series of headphones, and no matter how you feel about pimples Hawthorne Heights, they do look pretty swell. For the full scoop, be sure to check below beyond the break! We promise to try and keep the bias to a minimum.

For those that are into expensive and hefty over-ear headphones, Kidrobot has heard your call. Their latest series is big, black, and thick enough to choke a horse. They’re emblazoned with all the leather and white highlights you could hope for, as well as the customary white skull emblem on the earcaps, that way everyone on the street can be certain you’re under the influence of Skullcandy. If you need additional incentive to snag a pair, they’re themed with Dunny, a Kidrobot character, and will only be made in quantities of 1,000. Let’s rephrase that for your convenience: There’s only one grand of these being made, meaning they’re potentially some kind of collector’s item. At least, we’d certainly hope so, as they’re priced at an unbelievable $299. For that money, you’ll get the signature look, as well as a miniature Dunny doll to act as a cute desk enhancer. However, if you’re looking for something slightly cheaper, you might be better off with the second model in the new lineup.

Kidrobot x Skullcandy Agent

Do you like magenta? Do you really like magenta? Then grand! Step right up, as this collaboration piece is absolutely soaked in it. We suppose there’s also some white and pink to be mentioned, but no matter how you slice it, you’ll be snapping necks out on the street. Thankfully, the Agents will only cost you about $59.99, which at least sounds more presentable to us. No word yet on how the stereo headphones sound, but based on the company’s track record, we’re willing to bet “tinny” will be in the review. That being said, the cans are pretty catchy, offering the same level of visual satisfaction we’ve come to expect from Skullcandy. No miniature doll this time around, but then again, saving $240 is probably worth it. We’ll leave the ultimate decision up to you, though. And, as always, we’ll be sure to produce some real reviews as soon as we can get our hands on a pair of either.
